Link Building/Baiting Search Engine Optimisation Social MediaPublished August 11, 2010 at 9:43 pm No Comments

Now how many times have we heard social bookmarks are useless! And what good is micro blogging really? Well recently these social media sceptics are likely to miss out on a lot of easily attainable free links that will actually do you some good.

Now when it comes to SEO we all know that the algorithms are constantly changing and we can never be 100% sure what’s coming next, to be perfectly honest Social Media having as large an impact as it seems to at the moment caught me a little off guard when I first noticed it a few months ago. Now I knew it helped, however I didn’t really believe that you could build a successful link building campaign around it. Quality, relevant sites was what I told anybody who’d listen to me rant on about link building. However with the big G desperate to kill off the link selling industry it’s time to start switching to the more natural looking approach and so, this means don’t be spammy with social bookmarks just because I’ve told you they’ll help, this goes double for Adult and Gambling SEO the last thing we need is more spam from you guys and to watch more sites plummet in the SERPs.

Build networks and communities around yourself, contribute to social media and it will contribute back when you want people to look at your product, remember Google wants to see you marketing your product not spamming for the sake of SEO and that it appears is why it’s valuing social media in an ever increasing manner. Added to which social media sites give an ever updating list of opinions on any given topic, so get people talking about you, and they’ll link to you as well as helping you boost your brand recognition, get other people doing the linking for you (I mean end users not some dodgy bloke from a forum who is selling SBM’s by the penny) and you will see the benefits in your SERPs, links from quality sites and good content is by no means dethroned as King and Queen of SEO, but ignore building your brand throughout social media sites at your own peril, it may just come back to haunt you.
