Gambling SEO

Search Engine OptimisationPublished June 16, 2010 at 5:58 pm Comments Off

This article is written to help dispel some of the nasty beliefs that spammy methods will help you rank a gambling site. Remember quality over quantity. You’d be surprised what gets flagged as spam in the eyes of the big G when it’s related to this niche. You need to remember Google hates gambling sites. This community is one of the biggest producers of spam online and now you’re all tarred with the same brush and you’re sandboxed before you even start.

Now when you’re doing SEO for gambling sites you have to be very careful that you don’t get flagged for spam. This will of course have a detrimental effect to your Gambling SEO so be careful, things that you could get away with in other niches could cause you to crash out of the index. I know this because I did it on one of my experiment sites pokerroyale.fr. Keep in mind this was done on purpose for testing reasons.

The thing is with Gambling SEO is that you have to do everything to a higher standard, 1000 poor quality social bookmarks could help you if you want to rank for a regional drycleaners, but that isn’t the market you’re in or you wouldn’t be reading this. In fact this sort of behaviour will see your rankings plummet, programmes like SEnuke and Xrumer will most likely end up getting you penalised. You need to do things manually, this is depressingly boring, but it has to be done.

So here’s a quick breakdown of methods which will help you.

• Adding plenty of fresh well written content to your site, make sure it’s written by a native of the language or a high quality translator. NO CONTENT SPINNING, I can’t stress enough how bad this is, it directly proves that you’re spamming, there is no legitimate reason for this writers are cheap to hire after all.
• Send all new pages to social networks to get them indexed quickly there are lots of apps for things like twitter, for example wordpress’ twitter tools is a good example. And when you’re building your social networks make sure you do this a natural manner adding people who might actually be interested in what you have to say.
• Use semi manual tools, this is the biggy, we know that you can’t be bothered to do everything manually, but you can’t do things completely automated. So here’s a range of tools which find sites for you store the information that you don’t want to change and fill that in for you. This saves time, but you write the content manually giving you some variation and proper control of where you put your links. So here are a few examples of semi automatic softwares and best thing is they’re all free.

1. Fast Blog Finder
2. Fast Directory Submitter
3. Free Forum Poster
4. Free Blog Commenter v3.0
5. Ubookit (remember when you use this to add completely seperate descriptions each time try to avoid spinning)

Now I know this list is pretty short these are just a few of my favourites, there are many others out their but this should be enough to get you started. I’m hoping that this will help you not to get you penalised when doing your gambling SEO.
